Alice’s Ordinary People: A Screening with filmmaker Craig Dudnick

February 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In recognition of Black History Month and Women’s History Month, we are pleased to present “Alice’s Ordinary People”. This important documentary film tells the story of a woman who confronted injustice in her community by joining Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in marches for fair housing and desegregation in Chicago Public Schools. She took the leadership role in starting the Political Education Division of Rainbow Push, ultimately adding thousands of voters to campaigns for Mayor Harold Washington, President Jimmy Carter, and President Barak Obama. Alice Tregay passed in 2015, but her legacy lives on in this film. Filmmaker, Craig Dudnick will answer questions after showing the film. Everyone is welcome!
